Techniques We Use
- Gonstead
-
Developed by Clarence Gonstead, the Gonstead technique focuses on the spine and pelvis and is concerned with the correct alignment, balance and movement of the body to ensure the spine and neurological pathways are at their optimum to promote full body health. This technique is hands on and uses both manual testing and manipulation of vertebrae as well as xrays in some cases to get a clearer understanding of more detailed complexities with the spine.
- Diversified
-
One of the more common chiropractic techniques, and probably the one you first think of when you think of chiropractic care, the Diversified technique is the high velocity, low amplitude thrust to realign vertebrae or joints. The Diversified technique can be applied on the adjustment table, standing or sitting, depending on the area of the body being treated.
- Activator
-
The Activator technique uses an impulse adjusting tool to provide gentle adjustments to localised areas. Testing involves analysis of the muscles and your body's reaction to adjustments to locate and treat mis-alignments. A softer technique, Activator is commonly used in the treatment of infacts and people with osteoporosis.
- Thompson
-
The Thompson technique is performed on the adjustment table and, like many of the techniques, concerns itself with the alignment of the entire body. Adjustments are performed by applying a combination of thrusts to joints to re-align the skeletal frame to its correct position.
- Kinesio Taping / Rocktape
- MSA - Musculo Skeletal Acupuncture and Dry Needling
